EUGENE, Ore. - A 25-year-old Eugene man was arrested Sunday on charges that included reckless driving following a crash on West Amazon Drive, according to the Eugene Police Department.

EPD officials said they responded at 4:17 a.m. on Sept. 14 to a motor vehicle crash in the 4000 block of West Amazon Drive. The impact sheared the power pole from its base. Eugene Springfield Fire transported the driver, 25-year-old Marcus Alann Johnson, to a local hospital. An officer accompanied them due to Johnson's confirmed felony warrant. West Amazon Drive, from East 38th to Fox Hollow Road, was closed while EWEB replaced the damaged pole.
