BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A former Kern County sheriff’s detentions lieutenant accused of crashing in separate incidents hours apart while driving drunk had a preliminary hearing postponed Tuesday to December.

The hearing for 45-year-old Patrick McNeill was delayed to Dec. 2 after his attorney, Clayton Campbell, told the court certain records had been subpoenaed but not yet received.

McNeill, who faces nine felony counts and a misdemeanor, remains out on bail.

Sheriff's officials said he was no longer employed by the sheriff's office as of Aug. 22.
