TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Tucson Police Department confirmed a man has been arrested in connection with the assault of a 14-year-old.

42-year-old Joshua Dale Pierce faces charges of aggravated assault and robbery.

The TPD says the 14-year-old male victim was walking to a bus stop on his way to school near 29th and Columbus early Monday, Sept. 15.

As he walked past a pickup truck parked on the street, police say he was confronted by two men on the sidewalk.

The TPD says one of the men punched the victim in the face, which knocked him to the ground.

The victim lost consciousness, suffered chipped teeth, and a cut under his right eye.

Officers found Pierce at a house nearby and took him into custody.

The TPD says there was insufficient evidence to corroborate the suspect’s justific
