HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) - A $500 cash reward has been issued after a three-foot section of a utility pole was cut with a chainsaw.

The Wabash County Sheriff's Office says this happened on N. 1900 Blvd. just east of E. 850 Rd. The damage is estimated to be over $1,500.

Anyone with information leading to an arrest will earn the reward. Tips can be submitted via the Wabash County Sheriff's Office app to Crimestoppers or call 618-262-HALT.

Officials explain the guilty party could have injured themself or others doing the act.

"Playing with power is a deadly game," officials said.
