WABASH COUNTY, Ill. (WEVV) — Authorities in Wabash County are looking for a suspect after a power pole was cut apart with a chainsaw.

The Wabash County Sheriff's Office says someone used a chainsaw to cut a three-foot section out of a Mt. Carmel Public Utility pole.

The incident happened on N 1900 Boulevard, just east of E 850 Road.

The sheriff's office says the cost of the damage is estimated to be more than $1,500.

Authorities are offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.

Anyone who may have information on the case is asked to leave a tip on the Wabash County Sheriff App or call crimestoppers at 618-262-HALT.
