ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
The president of the University of New Mexico has announced she will retire from the university at the end of the school year.
UNM President Garnett Stokes made the announcement during Tuesday's board of regents meeting.
Stokes said she made the announcement during the meeting to ensure a smooth transition as the search begins for the university's next president.
