Solon schools Superintendent Fred Bolden stressed at a board of education meeting on Sept. 15 that the district acted as swiftly as possible when elevated levels of asbestos were found in a classroom at Roxbury Elementary School on Sept. 6. The elevated levels were discovered in an air sample and the district has been working around the clock to ensure the space becomes a safe learning space again and that children have a strong alternative schooling environment.
