The Alberta RCMP Community Response Team and Evansburg RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 16 on September 10th which led to the arrest of two people and multiple grams of illicit substances.

The RCMP conducted a traffic stop on a Jeep Cherokee for traffic offences when officers noted that the passenger had outstanding warrants from the Edmonton Police Service for possession of stolen property.

As a result of what was observed in the vehicle, police entered into a drug investigation and located 11.8 grams of cocaine and 11.4 grams of methamphetamine, as well as $1,500 in Canadian currency, brass knuckles, bear spray and two scales.
