YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - A portion of two baseball fields on Youngstown's west side is sporting fresh coats of paint, thanks to a local business owner.

Don Jones, of Canfield, owns Freshcoat Painters. He donated paint and labor to help spruce up the backstops of the Mill Creek Junior Baseball fields.

Jones said he played at the field as a boy and knows how places like that depend on volunteerism to keep the grounds in good shape.

"Now that my three kids are of age to be playing baseball down here, we were watching one of my sons play this past spring, and my uncle was standing next to me and goes, 'Hey, them backstops have seen better days.' And that's one of those things that's right in front of your face, so that's something we can help out with," Jones said.
