WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) - The need for a new 911 center in Trumbull County has been talked about for years. It was brought up again on Tuesday as the county works towards securing a location to put it.

"We really need to move. We need to have a better facility," said Tacy McDonough, director of the Trumbull County 911 Center.

McDonough stressed the need for a new home for 911.

"I hate to be the squeaky wheel gets the grease, but to me, citizens' lives, 911 call dispatchers, workability and where they're working -- all those things are more important than the dog warden's office," McDonough said.

"These people are going to be stuck in that basement for years to come if we just sit here and don't act," said Trumbull County Commissioner Denny Malloy.
