FARGO — There's been an active horseshoe league at Fargo's Oak Grove since the 1940s, Dan Hennings figures.

Hennings is the president of the Red River Valley Mixed Horseshoe League, which meets every Wednesday evening from mid-May to mid-August.

"It's a good way to spend your Wednesday nights and meet new people," Hennings said. He's been playing a little more than 20 years. "You'd think I'd be a better pitcher by now. I still have fun, though. That's all that matters."

The league is open to all ages, and Hennings said about 55 people are playing each league night. Watch the video of the league playing at Oak Grove and for more from Dan Hennings.
