A group of University of Northern Colorado student-athletes will host a free community movie night next week as part of the university’s homecoming week.
The UNC Student Athletic Advisory Committee is behind the first-time event, showing the movie “Cars” on Wednesday, Sept. 24 on the big screen at Nottingham Field.
The movie begins at 7 p.m. Admission is free. Concessions will be available for purchase.
UNC student-athletes will be there to volunteer and to meet and interact with families and children. Those attending are asked to bring blankets and even pillows to camp out on the field turf while the movie is on, according to committee president Brooke Holmberg, a women’s soccer player.
