Who hasn’t seen and loved the movie “Finding Nemo?”

Released 22 years ago, it is the best-selling DVD title of all time and was the highest-grossing G-rated film of all time before Pixar’s Toy Story 3 took that title.

The stars of the film -- Marlin, Dory, Crush and friends -- are back in “Finding Nemo JR,” a children’s musical based on the movie.

The show opens this Friday, Sept. 19 and runs through Sunday, Sept. 28 at Great Plains Theatre (GPT) in Abilene.

“‘Finding Nemo Jr.’ teaches important life lessons, including the value of family, friendship, and acceptance, as well as resilience and perseverance,” said Dylan Blackwood, who directs the show. “Working with these kids has been an absolute splash!”
