WINNIE, Texas — Firefighters responded Tuesday to a blaze at the Burger King located at 46135 I-10, the second fire at the same building in about a month, according to Sheriff Brian Hawthorne.

The sheriff said the Winnie-Stowell Volunteer Fire Department requested mutual aid to help battle the flames at the fast-food restaurant, which is attached to the Burger King Mobile Gas Station.

By late Tuesday, officials confirmed the fire had been extinguished. “We want to thank all responding agencies for their diligent work in getting the fire extinguished. Today was a true testament of teamwork,” officials said.
