COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) –Thousands mobilized across the country on Tuesday for “National Voter Registration Day.”

Over 3,000 nonpartisan events took place — including block parties, college fairs, and community drives.

According to the National Voter Registration Day’s website, combined efforts have led to over six million new voters registering since 2012.

The SC Election Commission is encouraging everyone to register as well — with around 200 local municipal elections happening across the state on November 4th.
