Gabriela Beltre lost 140 pounds, an accomplishment that will now take her over a finish line she has been dreaming of crossing for years: that of her first marathon.

But that was not always the case. Beltre said she has struggled with her weight most of her life, which made her desire to be a runner incredibly difficult.
"It was very uncomfortable because I was double my weight, my size," she said. "So, I would like doing it, but I wouldn't enjoy it."
