Plymouth County's comfort dogs descended on the WCVB NewsCenter 5 office on Tuesday afternoon. And consequently, many of WCVB's staffers ascended to canine bliss.

K-9 Lexi was one of 19 comfort dogs with the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office who stopped in for belly rubs, pets and smiles. There are more than 24 dogs in the program across the county's 19 communities. The dogs, coupled with officers from various agencies, often make their way into schools, senior care centers, or even on the scene of an incident where children are present.
