LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Nevada is the top state for the best casino experience, according to a first-of-its-kind analysis.

This study, done by BetMGM based on data from the American Gaming Association (AGA)'s State of the States 2025 report, is the first time U.S. states have been ranked specifically for player experience.

The new study evaluated 27 legal land-based casino states across seven factors that were included within the State of the States report. Those factors included: • Smoke-free environments • Complimentary alcoholic drinks • Credit availability • Withholding policies on winnings • Gambling variety • Total number of gaming machines in commercial casinos • Total number of commercial casinos in the state
