ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A memorial on Roswell Road and Laurel Forest Circle was moved to Mt. Vernon High School on Tuesday afternoon. The flowers and signs paying tribute to 16-year-old Benjamin Reiser, who was killed in a motorcyle accident at the intersection on Saturday night.

A petition was started after the accident to address what neighbors said are dangerous conditions at that intersection.

“It’s almost like rolling dice if you’re gonna make it across it or not,” said Jamie Pate, who has been using the intersection for nine years, dropping off and picking up his children at the Open Arms child development center at the corner.

Pate said the news that a child was killed there is heartwrenching.
