SPRINGFIELD TWP. — Abington’s Christian Hinkle played big minutes for the first time this season Tuesday afternoon after suffering an open dislocation of his toe six weeks ago. The senior certainly made his presence felt in a nonleague game against Springfield Montco.
Hinkle scored two goals to lead the Ghosts to a 3-1 win over the Spartans at Springfield Township High School.
Both goals were scored in a similar fashion. Hinkle skied into the air both teams to head balls into the back of the net. The first was a corner kick from Jazafith Vasquez in the in the sixth minute and the second courtesy of a throw-in from Carter Shannon in the 51st.
