WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WENY) — Schools in New York State are now in their third week since the state-wide cellphone ban went into effect. Leaders at the Watkins Glen Central School District said policy enforcement is going well, but they're getting some mixed reviews from students.
Kai D'Alleva is the superintendent of the Watkins Glen Central School District. He said students have been giving him a positive reaction to the new policy. But he said in the past few days, they've already seen an uptick in violations.
