ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Ithaca College will be testing its Outdoor Warning System on Wednesday. The test will be conducted shortly after 12 p.m.
College officials announced that residents who live near the college will likely hear a siren tone and loudspeaker message announcing the system test. The IC Alert Emergency Notification System, which uses calls, emails, texts and digital signs to students faculty and staff, will also be tested Wednesday.
Ithaca College says it conducts the system tests periodically to raise awareness about the emergency system and ensure that it works.
