RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. —
A student has been arrested for allegedly bringing a knife to school in Columbia, South Carolina, on Tuesday.
Around 10 a.m., school resource officers at Spring Valley High School were alerted by the metal detector that a knife was in a bag. A utility-style knife was found and a 17-year-old student was detained. Latest Forecast

The student was charged as a juvenile with carrying a weapon onto school property, and taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia.
