CLEMSON, S.C. (WBTV) - Clemson University fired two of its faculty members on Tuesday for “inappropriate” social media posts about Charlie Kirk’s assassination .

The school stated on Tuesday, Sept. 16, that the employees were terminated following an investigation of the posts.

“Clemson remains resolute in its commitment to cultivating an environment that is safe, respectable, and conducive to academic excellence,” a spokesperson wrote.

It was not immediately clear what the social media posts contained.

The school has not released the names or positions of the employees who were dismissed.
