BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Originally from Mandan, business owner Chelsey Smith is giving back to the community by donating wigs to cancer patients.

Growing up, she was always passionate about the beauty industry. She attended the Hair Academy in Bismarck and found her love for hair styling.

Seven years ago, she decided she was going to make wigs for everyone to enjoy.

Tuesday, she donated 65 wigs to the Sanford Cancer Center.

“My dad has been recently going through chemo for cancer, and I really wanted to give back to the community and also be with him, and I’ve had some orders from Sanford, and I said ‘I would love to be able to come here, do the wig show, but most importantly, take all of these 65 wigs and give them to Sanford Cancer Center, so people can come in, shop at the boutique
