MANDAN, N.D. (KFYR) - Mandan girls golf is having one of its best seasons to date, one that even rivals its state championship run in 2023.
The Braves have won every tournament in which they’ve competed against only WDA teams. In the East-West Classic, which features teams from both sides of the state, the Braves finished fourth.
Mandan is being led by sophomore Isabella Hale, who has won three of the last five WDA meets. Hale had never won a high school tournament before this month. She shot a 73 on Tuesday to beat the next closest opponent by six strokes.
“It feels good,” Hale said. “It kind of prepares me for state, kind of gets me in the mode a little bit. Yeah, it feels good. It was tiring, but it feels really good. It gives me a lot of confidence going into the biggest tournament,
