LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting near Shawnee Park, according to Louisville police.

Police said they found 32-year-old Rachael Hughes of Louisville shot to death at the Shawnee Boat Ramp around 3:24 p.m. on Sunday, September 14.

On Tuesday, Sept. 16, they announced the arrest of 27-year-old Michael Bullock and charged him with murder, robbery, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

According to court documents, Bullock and Hughes were seen leaving an establishment on Bardstown Road together prior to the shooting. They then both arrive at Shawnee Boat Ramp, and they leave a vehicle a short time later. That’s when police say Bullock pulled out a gun and shot Hughes eight ti
