MINERAL POINT, Mo. - The Potosi Correctional Center says that one of its inmates died at the facility in Mineral Point, Missouri, on Monday.

According to the Missouri Department of Corrections, inmate Richard Allbriton, 65, was pronounced deceased before 4 p.m. on Sept. 15.

The 65-year-old has been in the Missouri Department of Corrections since April 12, 1982, officials say.

Allbriton was serving a life sentence for various charges from Perry County and Bollinger County. Some of his charges from both counties include forcible rape and sodomy, two counts of failure to register as a sex offender, unlawful use of a weapon, and resisting or interfering with arrest for a felony.
