JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) -- Jackson city leaders are set to hear a new plan Tuesday at City Hall, one aimed at shaping a more sustainable and healthier future for the community.
"As we start making long term investments, we consider the environmental impact of the investments, not just doing things the way that they've always been done," said Chair of the City of Jackson Environmental Commission Kelli Kazmier.
Former mayor Derek Dobies created the environmental commission in 2018. He says it was made with an eye toward a more sustainable and better quality of life in Jackson.
