Tigers' pinch-hitter Carpenter ties Guardians with two

Here's highlights from the Tigers-Guardians game at Comerica Park on Tuesday.

With two outs in the ninth inning in an AL Central battle between the first-place Tigers and second-place Guardians at Comerica Park, pinch-hitter Kerry Carpenter hit a dramatic solo homer to tie the game, 3-3.

With the Indians leading 1-0 on an RBI single by C.J. Kayfus in the top of the second inning, the Tigers almost tied the game in the bottom of the inning.

Andy Ibáñez was thrown out at home by left fielder Steven Kwan and shortstop Gabriel Arias to catcher Bo Naylor, after a double by Dillon Dingler.

In the third inning, the Tigers tied the game, 1-1, on a homer by Gleyber Torres.

In the fourth inning, Arias hit a solo homer against Casey Mize for a 2-1 lead.
