RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Gail Parkins Memorial Ovarian Cancer Walk & 5K Run takes place on Saturday in Raleigh, bringing together survivors, families, and supporters to raise awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research.

The day begins at Sanderson High School with onsite registration at 7:30 a.m., followed by the 5K run at 8:30 a.m., an educational forum at 9:30 a.m., and the signature walk beginning at 10:30 a.m.

A special Wall of Honor will be on display to celebrate the lives and stories of those who've been affected by this disease.

For those who register before the event, packets can be picked up on Friday at Fleet Feet Raleigh from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
