MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Community members met at Hazel’s House of Hope in Morgantown Tuesday night for a Cuts & Consequences Town Hall meeting, where they discussed what could happen if major federal health care funding cuts move forward.

The event was hosted by West Virginians for Affordable Health Care and Catholic Charities West Virginia. It’s one of three town halls taking place across the state in September to explain how new federal policy changes may affect people in West Virginia.

During the town hall, the discussion focused on the effects of President Donald Trump signing H.R. 1, nicknamed “The Big Beautiful Bill,” on July 4.
