WORTHINGTON, W.Va. (WBOY) — Worthington's Town Council was scheduled to hold a meeting Tuesday night, but councilmembers say there was little productivity.
At the beginning of the meeting, the council went immediately into executive session. After coming out of executive session, the council immediately ended the meeting, citing the fact that they didn't have a quorum.
In a media gaggle after the meeting, Mayor Debbie Heflin told 12 News that only two people were left on the council, her and one other person, who both cited bitter criticism from social media as part of why town officials are resigning.
