PROVO — A man allegedly lied to police, saying he was the one who shot Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University in order to draw attention away from the real shooter. Police documents say he’s now accused of felony sexual exploitation of a minor.

A press release from the Utah County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that after George Zinn was arrested on Sept. 10, he was taken to the Provo Police Department, where he was “not cooperative with law enforcement.” He then had to be taken to the hospital because of an unspecified “medical issue.”

At the hospital, Zinn agreed to talk to an FBI agent and a Utah State Bureau of Investigation agent, Utah County said.
