Sacramento softball standout Ayla Tuua has been named California’s Gatorade Player of the Year, one of the state’s highest honors for student-athletes. Tuua, recognized for her performance on the field and leadership off it, will continue her career at Louisiana State University (LSU), a nationally ranked program. The award highlights her as one of California’s top athletes and cements her future as a rising star in college softball.
