CLATSOP COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - Oregon State Police say an explosive device was found in a public bathroom at Sunset Beach State Recreation Site in Clatsop County on Tuesday.

OSP says they were notified about a suspicious backpack in the bathroom at around 10:30 a.m. by a state park employee.

Police say an explosive device was found in the backpack and safely destroyed by bomb technicians.

No one in the area was hurt.

Officers checked other nearby locations throughout the day and say they didn’t find anything else.
