A four-match protest by Northern Guard Supporters, the largest and most vocal fan base of Detroit City Football Club, has come to an end, following a meeting last week between the fans and owners of the soccer team.
The protest began with the Aug. 9 home match and continued for the next three matches, Aug. 23, Aug. 30 and Sept. 6, amid a litany of concerns by the fans, including a perceived lack of communication from team officials over the way former head coach and sporting director Trevor James departed the team, as well as the team's performance.
