WEST FARGO — Whatever you call it, bean-bag toss, bags or cornhole, people played it for a good cause Tuesday night, Sept. 16, in West Fargo.
A few dozen took part in a tournament at Junkyard Brewing called “Throw Some Good Around.” Proceeds supported three nonprofits: Churches United, Matthew’s Voice Project and Furniture Mission of the Red River Valley.
Leaders said the idea was created to celebrate and raise awareness for the work the nonprofits do in the community.
“You could drive by this corner every night every week after work, but now you see this, and it just starts to raise that consciousness. This is a fantastic way for businesses to partner with us and support the mission that we’re doing,” said Pastor Devlyn Brooks, CEO of Churches United.
For every pint of beer served, a
