POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Ever since plans for data centers and power plants were announced in northern Point Pleasant, those living nearby say they’re in the dark.

“I would just like to be more informed of what’s going on and so would everybody else,” Ron Greathouse said. “You know, this is a small community.”

Another Mason County resident said, “I have children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren that live here, but when you get to my age, the future isn’t out there, the future is right here today.”

The community filled a room at the River Museum on Tuesday to discuss their concerns with the lack of communication.

Greathouse, who lives near the future site, said he wants more jobs in the area, but not at the cost of the environment.
