SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Two Utah residents are facing federal drug charges after approximately 100,000 fentanyl pills were seized by law enforcement while executing a search warrant in West Valley City earlier this month.

Andrew Estefan Valle Acosta, 19, and Elvin Isaac Vega Zuniga, 19, were indicted by a federal grand jury in Salt Lake City, charging them with possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute.

Their initial court appearance is scheduled for September 19. The case was investigated by the FBI and the Davis Metro Narcotics Strike Force (DMNSF).
