PROVO — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Tuesday announced plans to rebuild parts of the Missionary Training Center that house administrative offices and the cafeteria for missionaries of the faith.
The existing buildings, including the Wilford Woodruff Administration Building which was built in 1978, will be demolished to make room for new buildings to "enhance the missionary experience," the church said in a news release.
Plans for the reconstruction are expected to take multiple years, but the MTC is expected to remain "fully operational" throughout.
It's not the first update to the MTC in recent years. Two new buildings were added to the 39-acre site in 2017, with new classroom and training space for missionaries.
