Security cameras caught the moment a four-year-old boy suffered a two-centimetre laceration to his head after allegedly being pushed onto a bed by a childcare worker, sparking her termination and criminal charges being laid against her.
The 24-year-old female staff member is alleged to have pushed the boy at the Grow Early Education centre in Kelso, near Bathurst, causing the child to strike his head on the edge of the bed.
The alleged incident occurred last month, with police arresting the woman at a home in Kelso on Tuesday afternoon and charging her at Bathurst Police Station with reckless wounding.
