Two airlines have announced major immediate changes on all flights. Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air have now joined other major carriers in prohibiting passengers from using power banks on board. ‌

Emirates recently announced that passengers flying from October 1 will no longer be permitted to use power banks while in flight in response to increasing safety worries. According to new regulations, passengers will be permitted to carry one power bank with a capacity of up to 100 watt-hours; however, it must remain switched off for the duration of the journey. ‌
