The ABC is under fire for accusing a Sydney-based Christian church of being a “cult” in the latest episode of its Four Corners program, which Sky News host Chris Kenny has labelled a “hit job”.
On Wednesday, Kenny said the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church (PBCC) had been accused of being a “cult” and not supporting gender equality, as well as being slammed by the national broadcaster for handing out how to vote cards for the Coalition in May.
The PBCC on Wednesday morning submitted a formal complaint to the ABC Ombudsman after expose titled “ Big Brethren ” allegedly smeared the religious organisation.
Kenny said that while the ABC was willing to spend considerable taxpayer funds criticising a Christian church, it did not put the same resourcing into covering issues related to Islam
