A Falcon family woke up to a big surprise when their neighbours’ roof landed on top of theirs.
The roof was blown off on the morning of Sunday, September 14, during the weekend’s stormy weather which reported winds of more than 90km/h.
SES crew members from Mandurah, Meville and Cockburn helped secure the roof which had landed 50m away.
There was minimal damage to the house it had landed on.
The now-roofless house was also made safe with temporary scaffolding and its contents made secure until the roof can be sealed.
Homeowner Gill Kenny told Channel 10 her next-door neighbour alerted her about her home, which she leases as a rental property and was preparing for new tenants at the time of the incident.
“I looked up and I saw the sky,” Ms Kenny said.
