Baltimore County police are investigating after a woman was found dead on Monday.

11 News learned of the death after a viewer emailed the newsroom asking about a homicide investigation on Oakcroft Drive in Timonium.

Baltimore County police took hours to respond before sending a news release on Tuesday night.

Police said Patricia Watson-Geiger, 69, was found dead. Her neighbors and friends told 11 News they were shocked.

“I can’t believe I’m not going to see her,” said Susan Tucker, a friend.

Tucker, who had been friends with Watson-Geiger for around 20 years, was supposed to see her later this week. Tucker said Geiger was a happy person who was close with her family.
