The entrance gate to the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office was damaged early Wednesday morning after a car drove into it in what authorities are calling an “act of terror.”

Officials reportedly said that a search is underway for a Penn Hills man whom they believe to be the driver.

The incident happened around 2:40 a.m. Wednesday when, authorities say, Donald Henson used a car to ram a gate at the FBI’s building on the 3300 block of East Carson Street in the South Side Flats, Post-Gazette news partner KDKA-TV reported. After crashing into the gate, Mr. Henson allegedly grabbed an American flag from inside his vehicle, threw it over the gate and then fled on foot.

The FBI said no one was reported injured at the time of the crash, according to KDKA.
