With Christian Brueckner’s release from prison earlier today (Wednesday, September 17), it has left questions about where exactly it leaves the German national in the Madeleine McCann case . ‌

Authorities were hoping to speak to Brueckner, 48, but ran out of time as the inmate came to the end of the seven-year sentence he was serving for the rape of an elderly woman. However, prosecutors were unable to charge him in connection with the disappearance of Madd ie. ‌
