BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A crash involving an 18-wheeler and an ambulance has shut down I-12 East just before Walker South on Wednesday, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said injuries were reported in the crash. Multiple agencies, including LPSO, Walker Police Department, Louisiana State Police, and local fire crews, responded to the scene. AirMed was also called in.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
