BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- Do you have a pile of documents containing personal information lying around your home? Take advantage of a free event hosted by the Better Business Bureau to shred them.

The "Shred Fest" is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4, in Ascension Parish. Only up to three boxes or bags of documents per car will be accepted for shredding. Event organizers suggest that papers be removed from binders and note that staples and paperclips don't have to be removed.
